OSCAR 2010

This year's biggest night in Hollywood was definitely a fashionable one.

My best dressed of the night was Demi Moore in a Atelier Versace dress. The pictures of her do not really capture the beauty of the dress, her skin, hair, and jewelry. Her look was sophisticated, pulled together, and chic. I am not usually a fan of the "flesh" tone dress, but this one was a winner.
My 2nd favorite look of the night was Sandra Bullock. She was radiant in this Marchesa gold crushed velvet with delicate embroidery on the bodice dress. Her red stained lips were her statement accessory.

I just love Zoe Kravitz.  I thought she looked absolutely beautiful, young, and fresh. I loved her dress. She looks like she had a blast.

Nicole Richie looked regal and beautiful in this Reem Acra gown. I love love the back.

Elizabeth Banks wore this gray ruffled layered Versace gown. Her look was modern and clean. Now this is how you take a runway dress and make it Oscar worthy.

Rachel McAdams was a vision of Springtime in this Elie Saab dress.  This is one of those dresses that doesn't photograph well, but it was beautiful on video.

This was probably the best Queen Latifah has looked. She looked amazing in this pink satin

Jenny from the block was a goddess in this dress.  She showed the world that she still has it in this Armani Prive gown.

I really wanted to love Zoe's dress, but I just couldn't. She is such a fashionista and I love that she takes chances. From the waist up this dress is slamming, but once you get down lower it just falls to pieces. Her hair and makeup though are fabulous.

Anika Noni Rose starred in one of my favorite movies, The Princess and the Frog. The dress wasn't bad, but the entire look just didn't scream Oscars. I would have loved to see her with a more modern up do, even a blunt bang would have updated this look.

SJP is such a fashionista. You either love it or hate it. I loved the dress but not on her. She is way too short to wear this Chanel HauteCouture gown. And what was up with the hair. Now I know it was a big trend on the Fall 2010 runways to showcase a "messy" hair, but that was the runway not the Oscars. Sorry the look doesn't work for me.

Just because it's Chanel doesn't mean it needs to be worn. I can see this dress in a photo shoot on a 5' 11" model but not for a small 5'3" actress.
